The Duckboard Disaster

Heavy rains flooded parts of London’s temporary shelters in 1941.

Jed fashioned stilts from broomsticks and tried to patrol the shelter like a ‘flood warden’. He fell into the tea urn. Spirits remained high. The tea did not.
