The Doodlebug Decoy

V-1 flying bombs (doodlebugs) began hitting London in 1944.

Jed built a ‘counter-rocket’ from kitchen pots and a wind-up gramophone. It made noise, smoke, and frightened a milkman. His invention was denied a patent. Twice.
