The Subliminal Surprise
Rumours swirled about subliminal messaging in television ads during the mid-60s.
Jed accidentally spliced a banana into a margarine ad. Viewers began craving fruit. The brand claimed it was intentional. Jed claimed 'margarine is emotional.' No one knew what he meant.
Mmm... did that actually happen?

I met Jed in February,1965. We were going to Arizona to shoot a General Foods Rib Roast Rice commercial. I remember, vividly, the moment this six foot plus, behemoth, bounded into the American Airlines lounge at JFK, complete with very tall cowboy hat, bellowing, "where's Ken Licata". It was particularly effective with his beautiful British accent. He has been my brother ever since! Bless you my friend!!
