1987
The Studio Swap

Jed turned his old editing suite into a sunlit painting studio near Montmartre.

He installed an espresso machine, three radios, and no phone. Clients had to leave notes under the door. He replied in watercolour. Most said it was an improvement.

Mmm... did that actually happen?

Tell us about something that did:-)

He also visited China and discovered where the old Milan trams went out to pasture when they retired. Where was it? I have the answer on a postcard!

Aylene we will find a way for you to share the postcard!!

I don't know if this is the correct year - but hell, at 90 anything goes, right? So we did a commercial for Amercian Express Italy and we shot it up in Paris with the one and only Jed Falby. He was selected not only because he was and still is a great director, but we needed someone who could 'handle' the testimonial of the commercial. The testimonial was Olivero Toscani - not soft and fuzzy guy. It all went brilliantly and I think it was because Jed was and still is a genius in handling people. Jed also kept telling me 'I know you are a Yank, but please don't tip here in Paris and anywhere in France'. Jed, my warm and fuzzy director.

Oh, I'm back and here is the commercial that we shot in 1987 (so I guess I'm not losing it yet)

Or add more detail about 1987 — what happened exactly?
