The Wrong Competition

Jed entered what he thought was a landscape contest at the local gallery.

It was for abstract sculpture. He submitted a canvas of the Otter Estuary. The judges gave it a commendation for ‘anti-structural protest’. Jed accepted with a bow. Ruth rolled her eyes.
