Opposition to the skatepark was loud, genteel, and mostly over 70.

Jed chaired a public meeting. He wore a tie covered in tiny skulls. He quoted traffic stats and sociology papers. One colonel fainted. The vote passed. Jed sketched the moment in charcoal.
